Q&A
Q: Hello team, OriginStake (OGS), could you briefly introduce to your team?
A: Hello everyone, Origin, everything begins – Everything will start from right here, right now.
That is the most concise introduction about us and also what OriginStake wants everyone to remember when mentioning us.
OriginStake is a young team with the goal of building a business specializing in providing validation services, not just stopping at building nodes on multiple blockchains but also offering many other products/services to create an ideal environment for you to stake your assets safely without worrying about losing rewards and helping you easily track your assets and profits.
Q: What motivated the team to join the Namada Shielded Expedition and become a Pilot?
A: OriginStake has closely followed Namada’s activities for a long time and became part of Namada very early by running nodes for the project’s testnet, and OGS is also a member of the Namada Community Builders program.
With the Namada Shielded Expedition, OriginStake is proud to be a genesis validator among over a hundred thousand applications. Moreover, the entire team was greatly inspired by the concept of the Namada Shielded Expedition campaign.
From the first information released, my team and I exclaimed: how creative!
The campaign concept and information kept surprising us, driving us not to miss such an interesting journey.
Q: Can OGS share more about the team’s preparation process before joining this journey?
A: It can be said that OriginStake has put all its efforts into preparing for this program.
We understand that this journey will bring many challenges. Namada has boldly launched a program that no other blockchain has implemented before. Therefore, not only the organizers but also the participants have no experience with similar programs. With the mindset of pioneers, we all have to focus our resources from Dev Ops, Media, and other supporting resources.
Unlike some other Pilots, besides being ready in terms of technical capacity, we also prepared in terms of communication and media to accompany Namada and the Namada Shielded Expedition.
We understand that “Homefront – Frontline” is linked. Not only the technical people (Pilot, crew) directly participating in the program but the entire community will be interested in this campaign. OriginStake prepared ideas and communication plans to spread this interesting campaign to more people. And this interview series is one of those ideas that have been realized.
Q: As a Pilot, what difficulties and challenges did OGS face in participating in this race?
A: Like many Pilots in the Asia-Pacific region, the OriginStake team had a bit of a time zone difficulty when most announcements or main events took place around midnight (01am – 03am) according to our local time. Additionally, the Namada Shielded Expedition officially started right during the Lunar New Year, a significant and meaningful holiday for many members of the OriginStake team. But very happily, all difficulties and challenges were overcome thanks to the team’s high concentration, responsibility towards the work, and the feedback from Namada to improve this issue to create the best environment for the Pilots. We truly appreciate all of this.
Q: As a new name, does competing with other prominent “Pilots” put pressure on your team?
A: If we say “no,” we would be lying.
It’s not just pressure but also very high pressure.
However, I believe that it is necessary, ‘No pressure, no diamonds.’ These pressures help us grow, continuously push the process of learning, and train both the skills and spirit of the entire OriginStake team.
Q: Can OGS share about your team’s strategy?
A: Our strategy is flexibility.
As mentioned above, the Namada Shielded Expedition is an unprecedented campaign. It is difficult for anyone to be sure that they will be the winner.
This path is being opened for the first time, so we prepared plans A, B, C, and even “no plan” in case the actual situation is too different from what we imagined.
Q: Can OGS share a memorable experience of the team in this treasure hunt from the asteroids?
A: Besides the time zone difference and the unexpected difficulty of the S tasks, the most memorable thing for the team is the first time the team could dissect Namada’s source code, analyze the technical structure, and infrastructure to build an Explorer for Namada. We didn’t know when the Shield would end, so most of the time, the team operated in a very rushed manner in this campaign.
To be honest, we don’t have much experience in building an Explorer for a blockchain, especially in such a short time, so almost all resources were poured into the S task “Integrate Namada/SE in a Block Explorer”. Our CTO chose to build from scratch instead of forking available open-source. Partly because we could focus on understanding the Namada Blockchain’s architecture from the roots to easily build other Dapps later, and most importantly, we also wanted to build a native Explorer for Namada to be able to officially operate it when moving to the mainnet phase.
The Explorer is like a gateway into a blockchain, and so are we. This will be one of OriginStake team’s flagship products to join and contribute to the Namada universe. We feel that this is a memorable S task because the team could almost overcome the technological barriers and complete it within 10 days. It’s crazy for a blockchain Explorer, isn’t it?

Q: If you could choose one “key point” that drives OGS in this race, what would it be?
A: “Do the best you can”.
The Namada Shielded Expedition is a very interesting journey accompanied by many difficulties and challenges. We started, participated, and went through this journey with the spirit of never giving up – doing the best we can.
We are proud to have a team that always sticks together. Each individual has their own tasks, completing their work independently while coordinating with the whole team, we share and support each other.
Oh, and there’s one special thing, in this journey, we are also very grateful to our companion from the very beginning, ValidatorVN, who has accompanied, coordinated, and supported OriginStake a lot on this journey.
Q: Can OGS share about your team’s goals in this battle?
A: OriginStake is currently in the top 100, the campaign still has some time left, and there are many tasks we have submitted but have not yet been scored. Hopefully, when everything is fully updated, we will rise at least 20 ranks on the leaderboard.
Besides the ranking goal of the Pilots, OriginStake also has other goals related to communication and media. Throughout the campaign, we have implemented breaking news – real-time information updates, blog posts sharing and clarifying more information about the campaign in Vietnamese to help the community better understand, this interview series, and a few more activities that we will update soon.
We hope that all these efforts will achieve communication efficiency and help Namada spread this campaign to a wider community.
Q: How do you evaluate the concept of this battle?
A: We highly appreciate the concept of this campaign.
As mentioned above, the entire team agreed that this is a very creative and interesting campaign. Beyond the dryness of the code lines and technology, the Namada Shielded Expedition – has been infused with a spirit to become a campaign of cosmic proportions.
And I believe that the deep meaning brought not only stops at this campaign but also connects with the grand mission that Namada wants to bring to the world: Privacy is extremely important, in the current context, it is always threatened. Protecting it will require a lot of effort, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, and it is a continuous process, never stopping, and always needing updates as there will be loopholes discovered somewhere.
Namada is a pioneer in bringing out the philosophy of privacy to provide the most optimal solutions: Privacy is not about hiding but the freedom to reveal.
Q: What advice would OGS give to ambitious Pilots wanting to join such journeys?
A: Never give up.
Surely in this journey, the huge number of participants, constantly changing rankings, and ongoing difficulties will greatly impact everyone’s spirit. However, focusing on what you do, reaching the final goal you set, that is the ultimate goal. No journey is easy, and the one who goes to the end will be the successful one.
Q: How do you see the future potential of Namada?
A: This is not an easy question to answer.
However, I would like to speculate a little based on my knowledge and experience: Privacy is a goldmine if you know how to exploit it, and with the Blockchain market, this topic has even more room to develop. However, when privacy projects are banned by the US, blockchain operating in this field is strongly affected if not going into a deadlock.
However, by finding a way to untangle the knot: Privacy is not about hiding but the freedom to reveal, Namada has found its own path to continue developing.
With a strong technological foundation and recently attracting more investment, Namada is proving its future potential.
Q: After this race ends, can OGS share more about your future plans with Namada?
A: We hope to continue accompanying the Namada community builder, on the mainnet, and in all the chain’s activities.
Not only technically but also in communication, media, and beyond.
Q: If OGS had the opportunity to create your own universe, how would the team design it? (qualities, universal laws, and what would be in it)
A: I guess this is a Robinson Crusoe-type question, right?
I have thought a lot about this issue, but I still haven’t found a satisfactory answer for myself. Perhaps because I’m a bit greedy, wanting everything, perfectionist, wanting everything to be perfect, or maybe because I can’t really imagine what a universe would be like since I haven’t had the chance to fly out and experience the vast outer universe.
Back to the question, my answer is still open because currently, I am fully focused on Namada.
